How to Deal with Constantly Feeling Overwhelmed?
October 10th is World Mental Health Day, so I’d like to share these tips that I do (or try to do) myself to help you improve your life.
The balance between family and work is a frequently discussed topic. Also, you often hear that you have to “Hustle” in order to be successful. We are all different and what you choose is up to you. Do what you feel is right for you, and don’t forget to listen to your instincts.
I know it may sound silly, but I appreciate the smallest things that some people don’t even pay attention to … like beautiful clouds, sound of the ocean, a gentle breeze touching my face, the fact that I can sleep in my own bed, etc. It warms my heart and I feel such gratitude and joy. My husband always tells me it’s silly, but that’s okay. These little things make me happy.
TODAY I WANT TO SHARE 6 EASY WAYS TO CLEAN YOUR MIND.
1. Take 20-30 minutes a day for mental cleansing.
Do it for yourself because you deserve it! Leave your phone at home and go outside. Instead of putting headphones on, use your ears to listen to nature. Focus on what you are doing, slow down and enjoy your presence. Notice the world around you: little things. Be grateful for them.
2. Find nature wherever you are.
I understand, you may not be a “nature person”, but believe me, nature calms your mind. That doesn’t mean you have to go on a 6-hour hike. You can take a short walk. It can be a garden, your neighborhood, a local park or a nearby beach.
3. Connect with nature with all your senses.
Taking some quiet time to reflect in natural surroundings using all your senses can be a real boost to your mental health. Whether you are relaxing in the garden or walking, slow down and try to listen to the birds singing, enjoy the sunset, or notice the movement of the clouds. All of these good things in nature can help you to find a sense of calm and joy.
4. Don’t worry.
It’s a lot harder than it sounds, but try to remember that today’s worries won’t change what happens tomorrow. Every problem has a solution and your life is too short to worry all the time. Do you agree?
5. Smile.
If you want to know how to live in the moment, just look in the mirror and smile. Smile – can affect how you feel. Our face communicates our mental state with others and with us. So smile – it will make you happier and it’s also good for preventing wrinkles. 😉
6. Don’t smile.
It’s totally okay not to feel happy and cheerful every day. There are times when you just feel like blahhhh. It may have no explanation, but it happens. If necessary, cry or feel sad. It is important to remember that this is a temporary feeling and it’ll go away.
