“When we shot this, I had all intentions of this being a video to capture the last memories of us in the old house. I didn’t realize that what Monika was capturing was actually the core of my very being – these 5 people. My people. So often J and I get caught up in being in the “thick of it”. I can’t lie – two under two with a set of older boys just 14 months apart is so tough right now. We’re often overwhelmed and exasperated even on a good day. Just 60 seconds in, this short 4 minute film brought me to my knees. It was all of the magical moments we were missing, right in front of our eyes. The song said it best, “I woke up in the world I wanted And I realized all of a sudden This used to be a dream, but now it’s you and me”. Monika, thank you for reminding me of what is most important in life.”
